Twenty
seven year old frank Polimeda has often been described as "the
definition of a racer". From midgets to modifieds, R/C cars
to sprint cars, dirt to asphalt, indoors and outdoors, in just
a few short years Frank's talent and passion for auto racing has
enabled him to successfully compete in many forms of the sport.
Frank's racing career began in his early teen years with radio
controlled cars. He quickly gained notoriety by winning more than
a dozen national
championships
and many high profile races all across the U.S. He still competes
once a year for Tony Stewart and his Custom Works Chassis company
and, is featured on the cover of his Aggressor car kit box.

At the age of nineteen Frank's focus shifted towards actually
getting behind the wheel of a race car and began racing micro
sprints for Charles Clark and his CC Motorsports team. Frank won
quickly and regularly. By 2002 Frank had won two point titles
and over thirty feature wins at various tracks including a win
at the 2000 Motorama, arguably the most high profile micro sprint
race at the time.
2002 also marked the beginning of Frank's asphalt ventures when
he began racing John Geraghty's Ford powered NASCAR modified and
his own Rotax powered Three
Quarter midget at the famed Wall Township Speedway. Two wins in
each
division
and a pair of third place point finishes highlighted an impressive
debut. Frank continued to race and win in the NASCAR modified
ranks for two more years earning another third place point finish
in 2003 and a second place point finish in 2004.
Always seeking new challenges, in 2004 Frank added Legend car
racing to his busy schedule. Driving for the Gist family racing
team, he once
again
quickly mastered the popular division by winning for races as
well as the track point championship. Frank came ever so close
to making Wall Township Speedway history as being the first driver
to win two point titles in the same year at the 1/3 mile oval
but, fell just short of the modified title, finishing second.
The 2005 season once again marked a new beginning for Frank as
he decided to return to his open wheel roots but, this time at
the wheel of the Zrinski family racing team's USAC/ARDC Gaerte
powered Stealth midget and Scott Mclaren's winged Jasper sprint
car.
Some very strong finishes early in the season were highlighted
by an impressive debut at the Chili Bowl in Tulsa OK.
Against 250 of the best drivers in the country Frank missed qualifying
for the 24 car A-main by only one spot, making him the first alternate
for the historic event.
Unfortunately
Frank's hopes for another productive season were dashed in June
when he was sidelined for a few months due to injuries suffered
in a crash at the USAC Buckeye Midget Nationals in Lima, Ohio.
In 2006 Frank added more Winged Sprint car racing to his schedule as well as competing part time in the ARDC ranks. Once again he found quick success by winning one feature event and several Top 5's in a limited number of starts in Bridgeport Speedway's Limited Sprint division.
2007 is a landmark year for Frank as he and long time friend and sponsor Akos Sule of Neptune Research, Inc. have assembled their own ARDC Midget racing team. The team plans on running the entire ARDC schedule with hopes of winning more races, earning a respectable finish in the Championship Points chase, and most of all, HAVING FUN!
Frank Polimeda is an exciting young talent and has been called
"one of the most versatile drivers in the northeast".
He
is a refreshing throwback to the days when racers excelled based
on their abilities and determination. Friendly and personable,
he is a goal oriented racer who has aspirations of a driving career
at a professional level.
